Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation San Francisco on April 29, 2010 was a huge success! The event welcomed over 700 people and raised over $69,000 to fight childhood hunger locally and nationally!

Thank you to everyone who joined us at The Club Level King Street at AT&T Park to enjoy the specialties of more than 75 of the city’s top restaurants and mixologists for a superb evening. The evening also included fantastic raffles, a wine toss and the opportunity to win two different wine cellars. Attendees were able to bid on silent auction items, including Grand Prix racing, Design your own ice cream for 10 with Silver Moon, 3 night package at the Ritz Carlton Tahoe, Tickets and an insider tour to SF Chefs.Food.Wine and many more.
Proceeds locally benefit the Foodrunners, Children of Shelters, and Playworks. All organizations that are fighting to end childhood hunger in San Francisco.
Each ticket purchased helps support Share Our Strength’s efforts in eliminating childhood hunger as well as our local beneficiaries. In the wake of staggering reports that nearly half of all children in the U.S. will be on food stamps at the some point in their life, there is no time to waste. The time to act is now.

Share Our Strength®, a national nonprofit, is ending childhood hunger in America by connecting children with the nutritious food they need to lead healthy, active lives. Through its No Kid Hungry Campaign™, —a national effort to end childhood hunger in America by 2015—Share Our Strength ensures children in need are enrolled in effective federal nutrition programs, invests in community organizations fighting hunger, teaches families how to cook healthy meals on a budget, and builds public-private partnerships to end hunger, both nationally and at the state level. Working closely with the culinary industry and relying on the strength of its volunteers, Share Our Strength hosts innovative culinary fundraising events and develops pioneering cause marketing campaigns that support No Kid Hungry.
