Our Beneficiaries

Nearly 17 million children face hunger in America. Most families that live below the poverty line in America are working families, yet their regular income is not sufficient to cover the cost of housing, medical care, child care, transportation, clothing and food. Employment is simply not enough to safeguard these families against hunger and poverty.

Local Beneficiaries:

  • New Hampshire Food Bank: Distributes approximately 4 million pounds of food annually through its network of an estimated 350 member agencies throughout the state.

  • Children's Alliance of New Hampshire Inc: Promotes policies and practices that enable children in New Hampshire to lead healthy and productive lives.

  • New Hampshire Farm to School Program: Connects New Hampshire farms and schools by integrating agricultural program, school food procurement and school curriculum.

    • In addition to supporting Share Our Strength's work to end childhood hunger in America, a percentage of Taste of the Nation events supports advocacy and sustainable community development in Haiti, Mexico, El Salvador and Ethiopia.
