Share Our Strength
Sylvia Vidal is the coordinator for Grassroots Fundraising and Youth Outreach. Her role allows her to interact with volunteers, of all ages, who are eager to get more involved with Share Our Strength. From planning bake sales, helping students start No Kid Hungry University Chapters, to helping a teacher raise awareness in the classroom, Sylvia proves that when it comes to fundraising, the sky is the limit.
Sylvia is a graduate from the University of Maryland where she studied Communication and Spanish. As a student Sylvia interned with Share Our Strength’s Great American Bake Sale. Shortly after graduating, Sylvia started working for a local environmental organization, but in 2011 she made her way back to the Share Our Strength office.

As a part of the grassroots fundraising and youth outreach team here at Share Our Strength, I constantly work with individuals who are sharing their strengths by raising funds for us. These passionate volunteers are throwing bake sales, school fundraisers and events to provide much needed support to the No Kid Hungry campaign. We couldn’t accomplish all that we’re doing without them.

Holy macarons, Great American Bake Sale is launching its 9th season on February 29th, leap day. Are you ready for another great bake sale season? Last year the Great American Bake Sale raised over 1.4 million dollars and I am ready to top that! Grab your apron and spatula because this year is going to be even sweeter.
