Max Pomeranc is the Campaign Director for the New York City No Kid Hungry Campaign, where he oversees the organization’s programmatic work ending hunger in America’s largest city.
Max was born and raised in New York City, attending public schools his entire life. He joined Share Our Strength in 2011. He is excited to now be working closely with the New York City public school system and promoting programs that he once benefited from.
When he is not working to increase access and awareness to New York City’s federally funded nutrition programs, Max spends a great deal of time watching his beloved Mets languish near last place in the National League.

Last week, the Senate Agriculture Committee completed work on their draft of the Farm Bill legislation, which includes funding for many critical federal nutrition programs, including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP. Farm Bill has the potential to impact 46 million Americans who rely on SNAP to feed their families – including as many as 300,000 families in New York. The process, led by Committee Chair Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) and Ranking Member Pat Roberts (R-KS), demonstrated a great deal of bi-partisanship and collaboration.
