Maggie Reinsvold is a yearlong Public Interest Fellow working with Hunger Free Colorado and the Colorado Campaign to End Childhood Hunger. After graduating from college in May 2010, she immediately joined HFC and the Campaign in June. She graduated from Colorado College in Colorado Springs with a degree in Political Science and a minor in African Studies. Passionate about global health and development throughout college, she was able to spend five months in Ghana, West Africa and conducted primary research about polio eradication in India while at Colorado College. Both these international experiences widened her eyes to the challenges facing all people regarding poverty, health, and hunger. Upon graduation, she wanted to get involved and learn more about these issues in the United States believing that the best accomplishments in feeding all children, providing quality health care for all, and ending the poverty cycle is done by the people from the local community.
In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, hanging out at coffee shops, and planning her next great adventure while watching travel shows.
