Lewis Moon

Lewis Moon is the corporate partnerships coordinator in the Creative Enterprises and Development Department at Share Our Strength. A graduate of Syracuse University, he holds a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications as well as a minor in Sociology from the Maxwell School. Lewis is a DC native and graduate of Gonzaga College High School in the District. The Jesuit ideal of “justice for all” still resonates with Lewis and led him to pursue a career in the non-profit sector.

Lewis started at Share Our Strength in December 2008 as an intern on the Donor Development team and transitioned to the Corporate Partnerships team in July 2009.

Braving the Snow for Food Network's Service Day at the Food Bank for NYC [ No comments]

This past week staff, from Share Our Strength and Food Network participated in a day of service at the Food Bank for New York City. The group braved snowy conditions in the Big Apple to make its way to the Food Bank’s Bronx warehouse, which stores and distributes more than 74 million pounds of food every year to help fight hunger in all five boroughs of New York City.

For every purchase made with an American Express card at any Whole Foods Market now through the end of the month, $0.10 will be donated to Share Our Strength. It is an honor that these two prestigious companies are collaborating on our behalf. With the support of such corporate partners, we see the end of childhood hunger in the United States not as a possibility, but as a certainty.
