I work for the American Federation of Teachers in its Paraprofessionals and School-Related Personnel (PSRP) department, which represents over 360,000 school support staff in preK-12 public school districts, colleges and universities. Currently, my responsibilities in the PSRP department include working on communications, member programs, and school support staff issues such as food service and nutrition in schools and school bus safety. Prior to my position in the PSRP department, I worked with members, locals and community groups as an AFT organizer, helping to ensure a high-quality education for all by strengthening the institutions in which we work, and by protecting the health and welfare of our students.
