Lauren Katz

Lauren Katz is studying journalism and mass communication, along with Spanish, at the George Washington University. Enjoying Washington, D.C. and the GW campus so much, she has decided to extend her stay for the summer and fulfill the job as an intern for Share Our Strength’s Great American Bake Sale. Similarly, she participates in philanthropy events throughout the school year and raises money for Prevent Child Abuse America with her sorority. Outside of the office, Lauren writes for two blogs—one personal and one for College Magazine, and enjoys anything and everything food related. Whether she is watching the Food Network, scouting out D.C.’s hottest food trucks or exchanging baking stories with her mom, Lauren has a passion for baking and cooking that will hopefully be utilized after college when she plans to attend culinary school. Lauren reigns from Cleveland, Ohio, and couldn’t be prouder!

I knew working for Share Our Strength would entail being surrounded by people with a strong dedication to ending childhood hunger, but never did I expect to meet so many driven and passionate employees that will go above and beyond their 9 to 5 schedule to make a difference.
