Food Network New York City Wine and Food Festival

Posted by Katherine Duca on Wednesday, October 5, 2011

“Eat. Drink. End Hunger.” I can’t think of a better – or more fun – way to help fight hunger in America than joining fantastic chefs, restaurants, and dedicated foodies at the fourth annual Food Network New York City Wine and Food Festival. One hundred percent of the net proceeds of the event go to Share Our Strength and the Food Bank For New York City, with sights set at raising over $1.2 million dollars this year for the fight against hunger in America.

The festival consisted of over 120 events throughout the weekend of September 29-October 2. These events ranged from intimate, seated dinners, to boisterous karaoke soirees, to a three-day “Grand Tasting.” Share Our Strength was fortunate to have a table located amongst wonderful company at the Grand Tasting this year. Attendees stopped by to learn more about our work, to thank us for all that we do, and to learn how they can get involved.

Take a look at some pictures from the event:

A huge thank you to Lee Brian Schrager, Southern Wine and Spirits, all sponsors and attendees and the Food Bank For New York City staff for your continued support and for another fantastic Food Network New York City Wine and Food Festival.

If you were unable to make it to the Festival, check out the online auction, which is open through October 14.
