Kate Thomas manages projects that relate to key Share Our Strength supporters and donors. By communicating frequently and clearly, Share Our Strength mobilizes its network to help end childhood hunger.
Kate grew up near Philadelphia and then ventured to the DC area to attend the University of Maryland. As a proud Terp, Kate studied political science and entered the nonprofit and political organizing field. After managing a local political campaign in Pennsylvania, she started her professional career as teacher in DC through Teach for America. She then moved on to help nonprofit organizations maximize their advocacy and fundraising programs online.
Kate joined Share Our Strength in 2009, where she works to extend the organization’s reach into new groups while growing important relationships with existing supporters.
In addition to raising awareness about childhood hunger, Kate enjoys triathlon training, gourmet dinners on the patio, and lounging with her cats.
