Emily graduated from American University with a Bachelor’s in Sociology with a special focus on food and agriculture in May 2010. Her background in sociology solidified her belief that real food is a right, not a privilege, so after interning with Share Our Strength for over a year, she was delighted to join the Operation Frontline team as the National Program Coordinator.

Emily calls Mississippi her home state, but is a proud resident of the Shaw neighborhood in Washington, DC. Outside of work, she tends to read cookbooks cover to cover and aspires to become a talented gardener very, very soon.
