What did you say you were going to be “when you grew up?” A veterinarian, astronaut, or President of the United States?

Listening to the children in this video, it seems like the possibilities are endless, yet there is one thing that can put a stop to dreaming big: hunger.

Hunger has a devastating effect on children’s bodies—and on their minds. It keeps them from reaching their full potential. And children who don’t get enough to eat have trouble concentrating, are more vulnerable to illnesses, and complain of headaches and stomach aches. They are more likely to experience developmental delays—both emotionally and physically.

There is a solution — and you are part of it. Please make a gift to Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry Campaign today and help us bring an end to childhood hunger.

Hunger’s reach is vast — from the inner cities to suburbs and rural areas. That’s why we work to make sure children can access food and nutrition programs no matter where they are— to allow them to dream big and grow up healthy. But given that today 1 in 5 kids in America don’t get enough to eat, we have a lot of work still to do.

Donate today and help us make dreams come true — together we can connect hungry children to the resources that will help them thrive and succeed on whatever path they choose to follow.

You have through December 31 to make your tax-deductible donation count for 2011!

Please, make your gift today.

Thank you and happy holidays!

There is no human cause that is not important. Research is important for coming generations, but not helping feed the hungry kids today we might not have a next generation. Hope is good for tthe soul, immediate help to feed the kids is essential for the body. We cannot ignore todays reality that there are millions of hungry kids in our own America..However we dress up "ugly hunger reality", it is still an "ugly hunger reality"..

The solution is difficult. But what is not..We need diiferent ways, NEW different ways of ammasing sources to take care of the colossal problem of dealing childrens hunger. Just asking donations is a source but it is a strained source. There are other ways..
