Becca Story

Becca Story MS RD LD coordinates the Cooking Matters Program in the state of New Hampshire through the New Hampshire Food Bank. Becca has been with Cooking Matters since mid 2004 and has enjoyed watching Cooking Matters grow and the local and national level.

Becca was encouraged to cook and explore food from a young age and was captivated by the cooking shows on local TV stations. This love of cooking led her to a career in nutrition in which she received her Masters degree and completed a dietetic Internship at the University of New Hampshire.

When she is not wearing her Cooking Matters hat, Becca remains active in the dietetic and nutrition community. She has served as domestic hunger committee co-chair for the Hunger and Environmental Nutrition Dietetic Practice group, the president of the New Hampshire Dietetic Association and a mentor for the Keene State College and UNH Dietetic Internships and Diet Technician programs. She also enjoys playing with her nephew, watching classic cooking shows, hiking in the New Hampshire Mountains and a really good beer.

The Colors We Eat in Cooking Matters! [ No comments]
March 22, 2011
They say March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. This is true particularly in New England when every year at this time, we are anxiously awaiting the start of spring, the growing season and increase abundance of fruits and vegetables. March is also National Nutrition Month which coincides nicely with our experience of the time of year. National Nutrition Month, a nutrition education campaign sponsored annually by the American Dietetic Association.
